Time to trim the Creepmas tree

Hey creepers,

We're setting up the Creepmas Tree here in the Tomb and I'm always on the look out for new ornaments to add to the withering branches of the haunted tree and here's some of the ones I've found this year...

Over at MadameMacabreShop on Etsy you can get these two lovlies

Beyondthepoisonapple brings up this Nightmare Before Christmas inspired monster wreath

along with a really nice Santa Jack and Zero ornaments

From SWStitchery comes this delightful little Krampus...delightful, he'd hate that....

along with this Skeletal Elf

this Cthulhu

and this Yeti

Toxiczombie33 brings us this ornament that's all mouth...

and this excellent Monster Tree Topper... I may have to switch out Rat Fink for this one

but my personal favorite comes from Dellamortico, this fantastic Krampus Ornament, THIS is going on my tree

Now, I have to go put the fire out on the tree from the real candles we were using as lights but I'll be back with more ornaments later.... stay Creepy.....

Monsterfink Conquers the Holidays

A long overlooked entry into the Rankin Bass library of stop motion animated holiday specials Monsterfink Conquers the Holidays is a, too say the least, odd entry.

The story of a young  werewolf girl named Alex who has written a letter to Santa Claus detailing the toys she wanted only to have the letter returned to the house marked "NO DELIVERIES TO WEIRDOS". This of course sets the girl into tearful sobs and her vampire/witch mother tries to console her telling her that her father will get this whole mess straightened out once he gets home.
We are then introduced to the father of the family, an eight foot tall patchwork collection of parts from other monsters. Upon learning the news, the hot headed Monsterfink (Jack Black) declares his intentions to stomp his way to the North Pole and "knock some sense" into Santa Claus via a song and dance routine where he described the various things he's "gonna do to that Kris Kringle." Along the way the brute runs into Jingle (Simon Pegg) and Jangle Elf (Nick Frost) who he attempts to smash into "holiday smears" but the two explain that they have been exiled from the North Pole by Santa (Mickey Rooney}. They explain that an evil spell cast by the villainous Winterbolt (Keith David) has returned Santa to his long lost "skinny" self from the days before Rudolph and he has deemed no child worthy of a present. The three make their way to the North Pole battling an Army of Snowmen for a final climactic battle with Winterbolt and his Snow Dragon and force feeding Santa so he'll stop acting like a judgmental, intolerant schmuck and get back to his jolly old self.

Young and old alike will delight to such toe tapping songs such as "I'm gonna go knock some sense into Santa!", "Eat a Sandwich and Stop Being a Douche!" and "Gonna make Winterbolt my Tree Topper, after I shove this tree up his Ass". Monsterfink Conquers the Holidays is a true holiday classic that the whole family will love to watch each year.

It's Creepmas

So get ready for 13 days of Holiday Horrors as Halloween invades the Winter's only fair since the Christmas decorations invade the Halloween aisles earlier and earlier each year... now sit back and remember, you better watch out, ya better not cry, ya better not pout, I'm telling you why....the Christmas Creep is Comin' to Town!

Countdown to Halloween - New Munsters Merchandise

Hey all you lovers of the classic Munsters, you're in for some real treats coming our way real soon...

First up is the Munsters Mini Mates set

There are two variations on the set coming, the first is the Toys R Us exclusive set of Herman in his standard outfit and a color version of the Munsters Koach, the classic modified Model A

Pretty sweet hunh?

The second is a comic and specialty store exclusive black and white version of the Koach with Herman dressed in his "Punk Rods" Hotrod Herman gear. This one is gonna be super tough to get and it's a shame because I'd like to have the figure but I really don't need two Koaches.

Interestingly while the Koach is designed to hold multiple figures, only Herman is being released. Perhaps the rest of the first family of fright will be issued if this sells well...maybe we'll get a Mini Mates Dragula to go with the Koach? One can only hope. Both sets are due to be released in the next few weeks so keep yer bloodshot eyes peeled...

Next up comes word via the fabulous site CultTVMan of two new Munster figural model kits from Moebius Models. The two kits, scuplted by Jeff Yegher depict Grandpa and Herman working in Grandpa's Lab on an experiment and can be combined together to make one large scene like the old Aurora Prehistoric Scenes kits.

Also on the Munsters model front is an HO Scale Model of the infamous house at 1313 Mockingbird Lane

This will look awesome displayed next to the old Polar Lights Addams Family House model kit from a few years back.

And of course we can't forget the Marilyn and Eddie two pack due out any day

Ahhhh its a good time to be a fan of monsters....

Countdown to Halloween - Universal Monster Mystery Board Games

Growing up with Famous Monsters Magazine as a kid I remember the ads in the back for all the great stuff you could mail away for and I can remember these beauties quite well...
Dracula Mystery Game 1963 Bela Lugosi as Dracula himself chases you across the board. "Will the vampire catch you"?

Frankenstein Mystery Game 1963 from the artwork that is probably Glenn Strange playing Frankenstein's monster. It is definitely not the Boris Karloff version. "Find The Lurking Monster."

The Wolfman Mystery Game 1963 Lon Chaney Jr. as the Wolfman. "When will the werewolf strike"?

The Mummy Mystery Game 1963 that could be Christopher Lee playing Kharis, the Mummy or possibly Lon Chaney Jr. from the Mummy's Ghost. "Explore The Ancient Crypts Of Egypt."

The Creature From the Black Lagoon Mystery Game 1963 Ben Chapman and Ricou Browning as the Gill Man "Enter the depths of the Black Lagoon".

The Phantom of the Opera Mystery Game 1963 James Cagney modeled after Lon Chaney Sr. as the Erik the Phantom. "Can You Escape From The Phantom's Dungeon?"
